September 11th-13th, 2026 Welcome Home to BIG Queer Camp 2026!
Join us for our largest gathering of the year at the beautiful Sparrow Lake Camp in Ontario. This isn't a rugged backcountry trek; it is a full weekend dedicated to queer joy, rest, creativity, and connection in nature. Whether you are looking to dive into a new craft, paddle on the lake, or simply lounge in the trees or on the beach with your chosen family, BIG Camp is a space to play, learn, rest, and belong... together.
Our days are filled with queer arts, hands-on workshops/crafting, enjoying the weather and water, and intentional hangouts designed to foster community. When the sun goes down, we wind down together around the campfire for evenings of laughter, storytelling, and connection under the stars. *New for this year, we will also have Rock-Climbing and a High-Ropes course as a part of our programming!*
BIG Camp is proudly welcoming toadult queers, kids, and pets! We believe tiny campers and animal companions are part of the magic of our community. Please note that both children and pets require their own tickets to attend.
What’s Included in Your Weekend
✨ All Queer Entertainment: Full access to all scheduled entertainment throughout the weekend.
🎨 Workshops: Participation in all hands-on workshops and facilitated community hangouts.
🚣 Outdoor Activities: Access to watersports (canoes, kayaks, SUP) and classic outdoor camp activities on the shores of Sparrow Lake.
🍽️ Nourishment: Friday, a BIG QUEER Potluck (we will help organize and also keep items organized in the dining-hall); we LOVED this meal at community-camp last season, and we will be replicating this on a larger scale! Saturday we have a full breakfast (and coffee bar!) and full community dinner cooked up my our camp chefs and volunteers to keep you fueled for the fun. Sunday we serve a continental breakfast!
🏕️ Accommodation: Your choice of basic camp accommodations (just remember to bring your own bedding!). Please note: the price of the private cabins is based on max occupancy & privacy.
